Our 20-pack coco peat plugs offer the ultimate environment for seed starting . Also widely known in the gardening community as coco peat discs, germination pellets, or coco buttons, these compressed starters are specifically engineered to give your seedlings the best possible start in life.
Perfect for both home gardeners and commercial setups, these plugs make seed sowing effortless while providing an incredibly comfortable transplanting experience.
🔥 Key Benefits of Coco Buttons
- 📉 90% Less Transplant Shock: Ordinary planting methods often disturb fragile roots during relocation. These compressed pellets allow you to move the entire plug straight into the soil, protecting roots and virtually eliminating transplant shock.
- 🥗 Versatile Growth: Universally suitable for growing all types of vegetable seeds and vibrant flower seedlings.
- 💧 Superb Moisture Retention: Holds the perfect balance of water and oxygen, preventing seeds from drying out or rotting.
- 📦 Excellent Value: Each order contains 20 high-quality pieces of ready-to-use coco pellets.
📏 Technical Specifications
- 📏 Diameter/Width: 3 cm (30 mm)
- 📐 Dry Height (Before Water): 1 cm (10 mm)
- 📈 Expanded Height (After Water): 6 cm (60 mm)
📋 Simple Directions for Use
- Hydrate the Discs: Place your dry coco buttons into a shallow bowl or tray.
- Add Water: Pour 1 glass of water directly over the pellets and allow them to expand completely for 2 minutes.
- Prep for Sowing: Gently drain any excess water from the tray. Press a small, shallow hole right into the center of the expanded disc.
- Sow the Seed: Drop your seed into the hole and lightly cover it. Keep the pellet consistently moist (but not waterlogged) throughout the germination phase.
- Transplant Seamlessly: Once your seedling develops 4 sets of true leaves, simply pick up the entire plug and plant it directly into your permanent garden spot or into our lightweight black grow bags.
💡 Why Choose Coco Peat Over Traditional Soil?
Traditional seedling trays filled with standard soil can easily compact, choking out young roots and cause soil-borne pests. Coco coir is naturally sterile, sponge-like, and highly porous. This structural benefit allows microscopic root hairs to spread rapidly without resistance.
