Bottle Gourd (Semi-Round / Bulb Variety)

This variety produces round, bulb-shaped gourds. This  fresh fruits usually weigh between 300 and 800 grams.

🌱 How to Plant the Seeds

• • Soak: Put the seeds in regular water for 4 hours before planting. This helps them sprout much faster.
  • Where to plant: Plant the seeds directly into the ground or in a big container. Do not move baby plants later, or they might die from shock.
  • Sprouting: The seeds will grow into small plants within 15 days.
  • Watering: Keep the soil wet but never muddy or soggy.

 

☀️ Best Climate and Harvest

• Weather: This plant loves warm weather and grows best when the temperature is above 20°C.
• Harvest: You will see fresh fruits ready to pick 70 to 80 days after you plant the seeds.

For optimal germination, use the seed packet within 2 weeks of receiving it. When growing seedlings, use a fine mixture of garden soil/sand, coco-peat, and compost in a 1:3:1 ratio. For more information, check out our guide on how to sow seeds.
